We are D&R International, an energy efficiency and environmental consulting firm based in Silver Spring, MD. We provide our clients with incisive market analyses, strategic guidance, creative marketing concepts, and program coordination services. At D&R, we cultivate changes that improve the environment and the quality of people’s everyday lives.
We work for clients and partners in federal and state agencies, major utilities, national manufacturers, and retailers.
Specific tasks include develop rebate maps for all 56 states and territories for the State Energy Efficient Appliance Rebate Program (SEEARP). SEEARP is a federally funded stimulus program that was designed to save energy and stimulate the economy by promoting sales of high-efficiency products. D&R functions as a liaison between the Department of Energy and every state and territory. As SEEARP comes to a close, D&R is working with DOE to evaluate energy and cost savings of the program. This position helps D&R graphically display the number of rebates distributed per zip code in each state and territory.
Applicants must demonstrate:

Full competency working with Quantum GIS software

Demonstrated experience making maps with this software that layer multiple data-sets

Proficiency working with demographic data from census.gov, shape/vector files, and .csv files

High proficiency with Microsoft Excel

Ability to produce at least two maps a week

Provide examples of projects where they produced maps
