ENERGY ANALYST

Energy and environmental consulting firm located in Silver Spring, MD seeks a dynamic analyst to support its work on energy efficiency appliances, equipment, and programs.

Responsibilities include:

• Gathering technical and market information about energy-efficient and renewable energy products and programs
• Modeling and evaluating energy and water use in buildings
• Performing quantitative analysis to estimate the energy savings, market saturation, and effectiveness of planned programs
• Writing and editing reports and presentations to convey findings to clients and external stakeholders

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in related field
• Two to five years (or more) of related work experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of building science principles and residential renewable energy technologies, markets, and trends
• Experience with market and technical analysis, excellent attention to detail and organization, and aptitude for data management and technical information
• Strong writing skills
• Ability to multitask
• Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills, self-starter, driven to achieve excellence, able to work independently and collaborate in teams
• Computer skills in MS Excel and Word (experience with energy modeling, MS Access, and other analysis/statistical software a plus)
