PARTNER DEVELOPMENT AND COORDINATION

Since its inception in 1985, D&R has helped build innovative partnerships among government agencies, utilities, and the private sector to accelerate the adoption of energy-efficient practices and technologies. The D&R team works with program planners, marketing experts, product developers, trainers, and sales people to integrate tools and resources into marketing and planning efforts around sustainability.

For ENERGY STAR^®, D&R developed a set of simple cost calculators designed to help consumers estimate the financial and environmental benefits of purchasing high-efficiency appliances.

To help improve the overall quality of ENERGY STAR qualified CFLs, D&R is working with DOE and lighting manufacturers to develop an industry-backed, independent, third-party testing and verification system.

D&R was part of the team that helped the California Energy Commission launch a series of streaming videos from its Web site aimed at helping code officials and homebuilders understand a wide range of energy-efficient technologies.
