LED Lighting Facts Introduces Bilingual Labels

SILVER SPRING, Md., January 28, 2019—LED Lighting Facts, a labeling program that assures the performance of LED lighting products, is pleased to announce that manufacturers will now have access to bilingual English-French and English-Spanish versions of the LED Lighting Facts label. LED Lighting Facts showcases LED products for general illumination from manufacturers who commit to testing products and reporting performance results according to industry standards. The simple “truth-in-advertising” labeling program provides consumers with the assurance that the performance of their LED lighting products has been independently verified and that they have an easy in-store and online tool to compare LED lighting products and manufacturers. Just like the standard LED Lighting Facts label, the bilingual labels are auto-generated, based on the information submitted and verified by the LED Lighting Facts team. There is nothing additional required during the new product submission process to generate the labels. For more information, visit the LED Lighting Facts website. About LED Lighting Facts and D+R International D+R International built LED Lighting Facts for the Department of Energy to establish confidence that LED lighting would perform as advertised, including creating the LED Lighting Facts label, recruiting industry partners, and developing the program’s sophisticated website and database. Since the partnership program’s inception, D+R has been the single implementer and developer. As an independent company with over 30 years of experience in introducing and supporting programs and marketing initiatives that advance resource-efficient technologies, we look forward to continuing to move this popular program forward.
